Lydia is a qualified solicitor and joined EIP after six years at an international law firm. She has experience in complex patent litigation in the life science, telecommunications and mechanical fields. Lydia has been involved in one of the most recent high-profile cases in the life sciences sector, Fujifilm Kyowa Kirin Biologics v AbbVie, which concerned the blockbuster monocolonal antibody drug adalimumab (known as \u2018Humira\u2019) and saw the first 'Arrow' declaration awarded in the UK.
Lydia has also worked with a large telecommunications company, working on matters concerning competition law, jurisdiction and anti-suit injunctions in the FRAND/SEP sphere. Lydia was also the lead Associate on both the fibre optic cable case Emtelle v Hexatronic and the competition case Preventx v Royal Mail concerning the provision of remote STI test kits.
Lydia holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from the University of Oxford. She also completed the Legal Practice Course, which she passed with distinction and the Graduate Diploma in Law.
